Product Description
Calvin's 5x5x4 Bubbloid puzzle by Carl Hoff
Designed by Carl Hoff, and only available to those that afford to buy a 3D printed version over the last few year, the superb Bubbloid puzzles have now been mass produced, in a collaboration between Calvin's Puzzles, David Ang, and the designer Carl Hoff.
The puzzle was originally named the Bubbloid 112, and so named because of the number of pieces shared between turning vertices.
It is a corner turning puzzle, with 8 turning vertices.
As much a work of art, this puzzle is among the most beautiful twisty puzzles ever made, and something that should be in the collection of every serious puzzler.

Poor relation quality/price, just decorative.
Posted by Unknown on 28th Sep 2016
The puzzle looks nice but the turning is very awful. During the first turnings several pieces pop out so I removed the corners and tightened the screws. Now the turning is even worst but the pieces fall out less often, now the puzzle can be solved but is far from good, I think it will be only decorative as play with it is not very pleasant. In conclusion I think is a puzzle too expensive for the quality it has.

review update: some small changes makes it a lot better!

Since I've recieved the puzzle, I've taken the springs out and tensioned it pretty tight. The turning is not smooth but definitly good enough to solve it. I've not had any pops since I've done this and it's working just fine. The puzzle is fun to solve and looks great in anyones collection. I highly recommend this puzzle!

Looks amazing but turning is a problem
Posted by Tom Driessens on 10th Aug 2016
The cube looks amazing, but turning is a problem. The turning is fine, until for some reason a whole section of the puzzle becomes lose and pieces fall out. You can fix this by pushing them all back in really hard. This is however a known problem by the designer and manifacturer and we knew this before buying the puzzle. It's just very annoying.
