Qiyi 4x4 Thunderclap - 60mm version
Following on from the huge success of the 3x3 Thunderclap - well known for being an excellent quality speedcube, at a budget price. The 4x4 Thunderclap continues in the same vein. Multiple features give this cube a feeling of quality, despite the budget price:
Edge and internal piece contact surfaces feature friction reduction grooves, for faster more fluid turning.
Corner rounding optimisation - A lesser degree of rounding on inner layers improves stability, whilst a higher degree of rounding on the outer layers enhances corner cutting ability.
Dual level internal mechanism - reduces popping. Combines two locking mechanisms for an entirely new feeling.
Single piece mold construction - piece surfaces are smoother, and have greater precision.
Enlarged outer layers - Allows faster turning speed during the 3x3 stage of the solve.
The cube comes in two sizes - the standard size 62mm, and the smaller 60mm size.

My daughter has already got a collection of puzzles ranging from 2x2 all the way up to 7x7 (I created a monster!!)
She specifically requested this cube for her birthday due to its rating in the speed cube World, and it lives up to expectations.

First off, I love this cube, it became my main after I magnetised it with n52 3mm by 1.5mm on the inners and n35 4m by 2mm on the outers. The size makes it so that it fits nicely in your hands and helps with lookahead and algorithms. the feeling retains that of the original thundeclap and is quite loud. my only complaint is its sluggishness and the difference of feeling between the inner and outer layers. exceptionaly brilliant for the price + quick delivery too!

very sandy and sluggish out the box but after lubing and tensioning it became an instant main because of its smooth and quick turning
