QiYi / Mo Fang Ge QiYuan 4x4x4

The new QiYuan 4x4 from Qiyi is budget cube with great performance. D0n't expect the low price to mean poor performance, because this cube definitely punches above its weight, having some features you'd normally find on the premium cubes.

Internal friction surfaces on the interior pieces, and optimised rounded sections on the pieces to improve corner cutting whilst maintaining stability.

The surface is 'frosted', a very subtle effect, that gives the cube a light matt feel.

Vivid colours in shades on the stickerless 'S' version you won't find elsewhere, and bright / light shades on the white & black versions make piece recognition better than ever.

Given it's price (and even more on sales), it is a good entry for a speedcube-based 4x4. Not the fastest on the market, but by far a better product than the retail Rubik one.
I really love the stickerless matte plastic. Wish to see that more often in puzzles.

I repeat, it's not for high skill speedsolvers, it wont be that good, it's not so fast, not so stable. But if you look for a 4x4 training cube, it wont hurt your wallet and shows some average speedsolving capacity.

The quality of this cube is excellent. Even better is the low price...in this case it does not mean low quality. Well worth buying.

Ordered it after falling in love with the QiYi Sail. I did not expect a 4x4 cube to turn that effortlessly. Totally worth the buck.
