Product Description
YJ brand Speed 3x3 Axis cube V2 AKA KingKong
This 3x3 Axis puzzle from YJ is an interesting step up in difficulty from the regular 3x3 puzzle cube.
This is the new higher quality version which has a speed cube mechanism that improves drastically upon the previous version.
To solve this puzzle cube, you need to not only get the colours in the correct positions, but also return it to the correct shape. The centre pieces can be in an unsolved position, unlike the regular 3x3 puzzle cubes. The shape of the puzzle also changes when it is turned.

Harder than it looks
Posted by Rupert on 18th Apr 2017
My first impression was, "a 3x3x3 shape modification, this should be easy". Maybe so, but for an easy cube, this one turned out to be quite difficult. As stated above, the shape of the pieces is extremely confusing, and it takes some time to discover how the pieces map to the standard cube. With centers that look like edges, and edges that look like corners, a lot of concentration is needed. As a bonus, the orientation of the center pieces must be considered, too.
Product quality is OK, everything turns smoothly, and the stickers do stick. Highly Recommended. -
3x3 'Challenge Cube'
Posted by Garion on 17th Nov 2016
The 3x3 Axis Cube adds a great deal more difficulty to solving a 3x3, as all pieces are different shapes, sizes and colours. It can get quite confusing understanding what exactly your looking at but that extra challenge just makes it even more fun to solve. I recommend this product to anyone who's interested or looking for a step up from the regular 3x3 Rubiks Cube. The Axis Cube is of high quality and looks great in both black and white colour variants. Although it must be noted that due to the irregular size of the pieces it can catch quite often during turning, making it unsuitable for speedcubing.

Tougher than I thought.

This cube is an excellent challenge throwing up so pretty difficult situations to overcome. Infact it gets very confusing quickly as its scrambled.
The turning quality is great with very few catches considering the nature of the puzzle having so many pointed edges. Smooth enough to cause no concern when solving and confusing enough for me to change the way I normally solve a 3x3.
Highly recommend this puzzle to anyone looking for a step forward in difficulty from the 3x3 standard cube.
Overall the turning is great, the colours are bright and distinguished from one another perfectly.
Brilliant fun.
Happy puzzling everybody!
